中国铁路昆明局集团有限公司于2017年11月19日挂牌成立，是中国国家铁路集团有限公司下属和独立出资的铁路运输企业，管辖铁路线路主要分布于云南省境内，跨越四川省、贵州省、广西自治区，共经过4省15个地州市、64个市（区）县，有准轨（轨距1435毫米）、米轨（轨距1000毫米）两种轨距，是全国18个铁路集团公司中唯一准米轨并存的公司。全局共有98个货运营业站、与176家企业接轨建设199条专用线，配备龙门吊、正面吊等大型装卸机械设备818台，具备日装4000车、日卸7000车的作业能力。2021年，经云南铁路运输的进出省物资总量达9409万吨。

China railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. was founded on November 19, 2017.It is China's national railway group Co., Ltd., subordinate and independent contribution of the railway transport enterprise, mainly distributed in Yunnan province, under the jurisdiction of the railway  across Sichuan,Guizhou,Guangxi autonomous region, a total of 15 after four provinces city, 64, county (district), there are two kinds of gauge:quasi-meter gauge (gauge 1435 mm) and meter gauge(gauge 1000 mm). It is the only one of the 18 railway group companies in China that has quasi-meter gauge CO-existing. There are 98 freight business stations in total,199 special lines connecting with 176 enterprises,equipped with 818 sets of large loading and unloading machinery such as a gantry crane and front crane and front capacity with 4000 cars and daily unloading capacity of 7000 cars. In 2021, the total amount of goods and materials transported to and from Yunnan by railway reached 94.09 million tons.
